Summer Vacation!

I'll be going back in time for a bit here while I catch up on some fun activities in June and for the 4th of July. We took a trip to see Aunt Lisa, Uncle Curt, Lydia, Margaux and baby Elise in Chicago on June 24 for a week. We had a great time! I was lucky enough to be able to use my miles that I accrued while working at the University of Utah to get three airline tickets for me and the girls without spending a dime (except of course for the stupid bag charges). Lisa and Curt were generous enough to let us stay with them and use one of their cars. With FIVE girls under the age of 4....and their mothers (poor Curt), we had a lot of bodies to move around. But we managed famously!

We spent the first two days at their house in Chicago and then the rest of the week at their lake house in Michiana. In Chicago we went to Navy Pier and took a boat ride along the lake shore to see the city skyline. I know...totally touristy, but we wanted to be outside and I wanted to get on the water somehow and this boat ride was only 30 minutes. There was lengendary Chicago heat that day with loads of humidity, but we still had a blast. The girls still talk about their boat ride and the Thomas the Train ride (which lasted about 2 minutes). Oh, to be young and so easily amused.

The cousins getting silly

We even got hats to go with our sweat!

They're stoked, you just can't tell
